Adding a task
Tap the mic and say it, or type it. Dates and times come out of what you say: “dentist next Tuesday at 2”, “pay rent on the 1st every month”, “water plants tonight”. The task keeps a clean title, and the date shows underneath before you save.
Today, Upcoming, Anytime, Done
Today shows what’s due today and anything still open from before. Upcoming groups the rest by day. Anytime holds tasks without a date. Finished tasks fold away under “Done today”, and Done shows everything you’ve finished.
Sharing a list
Tap the people icon, pick a label (or start a new list), and tap Share and invite. Send the link by Messages or email. The other person taps it on their iPhone, or types the 8-letter code under Shared lists. Everyone can add, change, and finish tasks. A task can be “for” one person.
Apple Watch
Open ADD Task on the watch and tap Add a task, or say “Add a task in ADD Task” to Siri. It goes to your iPhone and shows up there. Today’s list on the watch lets you check things off.
Email and texts
In Settings, add your email or mobile number and type the code we send to confirm it. Then choose the morning email and reminders for Critical tasks. To stop emails, use the link at the bottom of any email. To stop texts, reply STOP.
Faster ways in
Back Tap (Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap → Double Tap → Add a task), the Action Button on iPhones that have one, Siri, or a long-press on the app icon.
